Learn how to accelerate change toward mental health and register for the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL) in September, 2015. This unique international forum consists of two events – the Combined Meeting and a series of Leadership Matches. The MHCC is pleased to cohost this event with the Public Health Agency of Canada.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to network with colleagues from all over the world and participate in a valuable exchange of ideas and research. We are pleased to be a part of this initiative,” says Jennifer Vornbrock, Vice President of Knowledge and Innovation at the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC).
The Combined Meeting will be held in Vancouver September 23-25. This event gives international mental health and addiction leaders the opportunity to examine research and best practices across a variety of themes: leading for the future, wellness, innovation, system transformation, and change management.
At sites across Canada and the United States, Leadership Matches provide an opportunity to thoroughly discuss important topics in mental health and addiction. The MHCC and other Canadian and American mental health organizations will be hosting several Matches from September 21-25, as part of the IIMHL.
Some highlights of the Leadership Matches include:
Community Action for Suicide Prevention – hosted by the MHCC in Vancouver Mental Health and Seniors – hosted by the Baycrest Health Science and Public Health Agenc.
