Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, the Manager is responsible for providing leadership and operational oversight to the inter-disciplinary clinical care team(s). The Manager is accountable for the effective and efficient use of human, fiscal and material resources in the delivery of quality family centered care in collaboration with Physician/Clinician Co-Leader. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating the overall delivery of care for the population, ensuring effective operations on a day to day basis in collaboration with physician/ clinician leadership and professional practice chiefs; acting as a resource for staff; managing the hiring process; coordinating human resources to efficiently and effectively meet care requirements; working in collaboration with the Quality Improvement Coordinators and Professional Development Coordinators to ensure that quality improvement and risk management activities are coordinated effectively and improvements implemented; working with the Professional Chiefs and staff to maximize participation in educational opportunities. As a leader, mentor team members by supporting, role modeling and coaching in an effective manner; ensuring completion of all aspects of Performance Management; coordinating the performance evaluation review every two years for each employee; managing performance issues on an ongoing basis; collaborating with physicians, physician leaders, professional chiefs and support staff to resolve key clinical practice issues and improve operations; completing quarterly variance reports and other reports, as required; managing attendance; managing day to day operational expenditures, including coordination of capital expenditure, auxiliary amenities, and supply purchases; participating in the development of the service plan for the care area(s).

  • Masters Degree in a Health Profession required.
  • Current registration with relevant health discipline college/association required • Minimum five (5) years experience in a related clinical role required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in management required.
  • Project management skills required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Mental Health and Addictions Program preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership and team building skills required.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skills required.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
